Incident # 24-05070 - An adult male was seriously injured in a single vehicle MVC on Green Pond Hwy (SC Hwy 303) at Windy Hill Lane Thursday morning 04-July at 06:15. The southbound car left the roadway in a curve and entered the ditch. The vehicle struck a tree stump and flipped over several times, landing on the wheels. The driver received multiple traumatic injuries. Firefighter-Paramedics treated him at the scene, then transported him emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 6 to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. No medical helicopters could fly due to fog. The SC highway Patrol is investigating the MVC.
Engine 6, Medic 6, Battalion 1, Car 107 and Car 111 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander.
