02/August/2024 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift
Incident # 24-05908 - Fire-Rescue responded during a thunderstorm to a reported lightning strike at a residence in the 10700 block of Jefferies Hwy, (US Hwy 15) Friday 02-August. Engine 5 arrived to find no visible exterior signs of fire, however there was a light haze and the smell of smoke inside the home. Upon investigation, Firefighters found a fire under the floor of the utility room which had damaged the structure. Crews were able to extinguish the fire and lessen the damage to the building. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Engine 5, Engine 19, Tender 5, Tender 17, Tender 19, Tender 26, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 103, Car 110, Car 112, Car 115, and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
