13/November/2024 - MVC with Entrapment - "B" Shift

Incident # 24-09091 - Three people were injured and one was trapped in a high speed single vehicle MVC on Azalea Patch Road near Sniders Hwy, Wednesday evening 13-Nov at 18:29. The small passenger car left the roadway and entered a water filled ditch. The adult male driver received non-life threatening injuries, but had multiple complaints and could not exit the vehicle. An adult female and a small child also received non-life threatening injuries.  Firefighter-Paramedics treated all three patients at the scene. The mother and 4 month old were transported to Colleton Medical Center for further evaluation. Firefighter-Paramedics used Holmatro Rescue Tools to extricate the diver. The roof was removed and the patient was extricated with spinal precautions. He was transported to Colleton Medical Center. The Sheriff's Office and SCHP are investigating the MVC. 

Engine 18, Medic 1, Medic 18, Medic 26, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
