22/November/2024 - Fatal Shooting Incident - "B" Shift

Incident # 24-09322 - Three men were shot, one fatally, during an altercation at the Walterboro Family Bowl, 226 Wichman Street Friday evening 22-November at 23:02. Responders were dispatched to the location on the report of a person shot. Law Enforcement Officers from the City of Walterboro and the Sheriff's Office arrived quickly and found three people with gunshot wounds. Two additional Fire-Rescue ambulances were assigned to the incident. Battalion 1 was the first arriving Paramedic unit and began triaging the patients. One man suffered fatal injuries and one man was critically injured. The third man received a wound to the arm. CARE Flight was placed on standby. All three patients were treated at the scene. The man with fatal injuries was transported emergent to Colleton Medical Center. The ED staff treated his injuries but sadly he did not survive. The critically injured man was transported to the helipad at CMC and transferred to the Flight Crew. He was flown by CARE Flight to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The man with the arm injury was transported to Colleton Medical Center. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the incident.
