Incident # 24-09461 - An adult male suffered a fatal gunshot wound during an altercation at a residence in the 16400 block of Hendersonville Hwy. near the Hampton County line, Wednesday evening 27-November at 22:03. Sheriff's Deputies and Firefighter-Paramedics responded to the location which was well off of the highway, down a narrow single lane driveway. The man received care from responders but did not respond to resuscitative efforts. The Coroner's Office was notified and responded to the scene. The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
Engine 1, Medic 13, Battalion 1 and Car 104 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander.
