05/December/2024 - Structure Fire - "C" Shift

Incident # 24-09645 - At 11:03 on Thursday 05-December, a passerby notified 9-1-1 of a residence on fire at the corner of Camp Buddy Road and Garner Corners Ct. The caller noted there were flames coming from the windows and roof. Engine 9 arrived to find the singlewide mobile home approximately 60% involved. The roof over half of the home and a portion of the front wall had already burned away. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines to the building. A vehicle was in front of the home and neighbors could not verify that no one was there. Crews spent approximately 10 minutes knocking down the flames until they could enter the building and search the remainder of the residence. No one was found, however several canines perished in the fire. Units were on the scene for three hours. The cause of the fire appears to have been a space heater that was left running. The family lost most of their belongings.

Engine 9, Engine 19, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 34, Medic 19, Battalion 1, Car 104, Car 107 and Car 112 responded. Captain KC Campbell served as Incident Commander.
