Incident # 25-00042 - An adult male received serious injuries in a single vehicle MVC on Mount Carmel Road just south of Wolfe Creek Road Thursday evening 02-January at 18:52. The northbound Chevrolet Pickup Truck left the roadway and entered the southbound ditch causing heavy damage to the vehicle. The driver was wearing a seatbelt. A great deal of debris blocked both lanes of Mount Carmel Road. The man was treated at the scene by Firefighter-Paramedics. No medical helicopters were available, so Medic 26 transported him emergent to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. Additional Firefighter-Paramedics assisted with his care during transport. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and the Sheriff's Office assisted with traffic control.
Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1 and Car 104 responded. Captain Robert Gregory served as Incident Commander.
