Incident # 25-00964 - A large storage building and the contents were heavily damaged in an afternoon fire in the 100 block of Bowers Road in the Green Pond Community, Sunday afternoon 02-February at 18:03. An unattended fire in a burn barrel spread through the yard and into a wooded area, before reaching the storage building. Engine 6 arrived to find the building heavily involved. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed two handlines to extinguish the fire in the building and yard. They also protected two other nearby storage buildings. Crews had to unload the burning contents to completely extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.
Engine 6, Tender 6, Tender 27, Battalion 1, Car 104 and Car 107 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
