11/February/2025 - MVC with Air Evac - "A" Shift

Incident # 25-01217 - Two people were seriously injured in a single vehicle MVC on Interstate 95 near the 51 mile marker northbound, Tuesday morning 11-February at 01:45. The northbound vehicle left the roadway at a high rate of speed, entered the woods and struck several trees. The small car suffered heavy damage. A small child was also in the car, secured in a child safety seat and was not injured. An adult male and an adult female both suffered multiple traumatic injuries. A second Fire-Rescue ambulance was assigned to the incident. Firefighter-Paramedics treated both patients at the scene and placed the CARE Flight medical helicopter on standby. The male patient was transported emergent to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center, then transferred to the flight crew. He was flown by CARE Flight to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The female patient and the child were both transported by Fire-Rescue Medic 1 to the Trauma Center at Trident. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. 

Engine 1, Medic 1, Medic 13, Battalion 1 and Car 104 responded. Captain Bryon Eadon served as Incident Commander.
