21/March/2025 - Structure Fire - "A" Shift Incident # 25-02326 - At 15:53 Friday afternoon 21-March, two family members reported hearing a "pop" on their front porch. Upon investigation, they found the front porch was on fire. They were able to safely exit the home through the back door and notify 9-1-1. Fire-Rescue Engine 19 arrived minutes later to find the singlewide mobile home well involved. Flames were visible from the front and rear of the home as well as the backyard. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines to the building and made entry through the front door. They quickly knocked down the bulk of the flames. Crews rescued two unconscious kittens from a bedroom and successfully resuscitated the felines. The home suffered substantial damage and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the family. Engine 19, Engine 27, Tender 1, Tender 5, Tender 9, Tender 19, Tender 26, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 104, Car 118 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander. |
