Incident # 25-02462 - Three people were injured in a two vehicle MVC on I-95 near the 51 mile marker northbound, Tuesday afternoon 25-March at 17:32. Both vehicles were traveling northbound, when a full sized pickup truck struck the rear of a small passenger car causing extensive damage to the car. Witnesses advised that traffic was slowing when the accident occurred. The passenger car was pushed into the median. One patient from the car was transported to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The other two patients were transported to Colleton Medical Center. Northbound traffic was down to one lane for about an hour causing it to back up several miles. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 1, Rescue 1, Battalion 1, Medic 1, Medic 26 and Car 105 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
