26/March/2025 - Woods, Vehicle and Building Fire - "C" Shift


Incident # 25-02499 - Despite a Statewide burning ban, an outdoor fire at a residence in the 100 block of Emerald Street quickly spread to an metal storage building, carport and approximately one acre of woods Wednesday afternoon 26-March at 13:13.  The fire destroyed two vehicles under the carport. Engine 19 deployed two handlines to the fire and requested a plow from the Forestry Commission. Crews kept the fire from reaching the residence on the property. Units were on the scene for 1-1/2 hours. Sheriff's Deputies blocked Emerald Street. 


Engine 19, Engine 26, Tender 21, Medic 1, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 104 and Car 119 responded. Battalion Chief Joseph Campbell served as Incident Commander.
