04/April/2025 - Kitchen Fire - "B" Shift
Incident # 25-02783 - A singlewide mobile home received damage to the
kitchen in an early morning fire Friday 04-April. At 01:28, 9-1-1 was
notified of the fire in the kitchen of a home in the 400 block of Bee
Drive. All occupants were able to safely exit the residence. A teenager
used a portable fire extinguisher to put out the fire. The
flames damaged the stove, the kitchen cabinets above the stove and one
wall. Fire burned outside through a vent and caused minor damage to the
exterior of the building. Firefighter checked for extension in the
ceiling and wall, then used a PPV fan to remove smoke from the home.
Units were on the scene for 45 minutes.
Engine 1, Engine 19, Tender 1, Tender 19, Tender 26, Tender 27, Medic 1,
Medic 19 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served
as Incident Commander.
