Incident # 25-02958 - At 14:40 on Friday 11-April, a School Bus and a Pickup Truck collided at the intersection of Cane Branch Rd and Edward Rd causing the pickup truck to overturn. Four people complained of injuries and the intersection was blocked for over an hour. The driver of the truck was able to safely crawl out of the vehicle and received non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver and two children on the bus also complained of minor injuries. Fire-Rescue transported the four patients to Colleton Medical Center. Several children were picked up at the scene by family members. The remainder of the children were released to School District employees and transported home on a separate bus. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Engine 1, Medic 13, Medic 18, Car 104, Car 105, Car 107 and Car 110 responded. Captain Bryan Eadon served as Incident Commander.
