Incident # 25-03294 - An adult male was severely injured when his bicycle collided with the side of a delivery van Wednesday afternoon 23-April at 18:25. The accident occurred on Bells Hwy at the intersection of I-95 in front of the new QT Service Station. The man suffered multiple injuries and a head injury. Firefighter-Paramedics treated him at the scene. No medical helicopters could fly due to thunderstorms in the area. Medic 26 transported the patient emergent to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The Walterboro Police Dept is investigating the MVC. The delivery truck driver was not injured.
Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 112 and Walterboro Fire Dept responded. Captain KC Campbell served as Incident Commander.
