21/July/2025 - Multiple Shooting Incident - "C" Shift


Incident # 25-005698 - Three people were shot, two critically, during an incident at the Lincoln Apartments, 404 Whitsel Street in Walterboro at 11:18 Monday morning 21-July. 9-1-1 received several reports advising a female was shot in the head. Walterboro Police Officers and County Sheriff's Deputies arrived quickly to find there were three people with gunshot injuries. Two additional Fire-Rescue ambulances were assigned to the incident. Law Enforcement Officers administered first aid to the victims until Fire-Rescue units arrived. A medical helicopter was placed on standby. Firefighter-Paramedics treated all three injured individuals at the scene. The 18 yr old female suffered life threatening injuries and required advanced airway care and bleeding control. She was transported emergent in Fire-Rescue Medic 19 with additional personnel onboard to assist with her care. Medic 19 met with the CARE Flight helicopter at their base. The patient was flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The other two patients, both males, were transported emergent by Fire-Rescue Medic 1 and Medic 26 to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. The Walterboro Police Department is conducting the investigation of the incident.
