Incident # 25-06265 - An adult female was seriously injured in a three vehicle MVC on Jefferies Hwy (US Hwy. 15) at LaFayette Ln, Sunday afternoon 10-August at 12:18. Firefighter-Paramedics evaluated four patients at the scene. A second Fire-Rescue ambulance was requested. An adult female suffered serious injuries. She was transported emergent to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. Medic 19 picked up the Flight Crew from C.A.R.E. Flight to assist during the transport. The helicopter was grounded due to poor weather conditions. The remaining three patients did not require ambulance transport. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Traffic on Jefferies Hwy. was down to one lane for an hour. The Sheriff's Office also responded and assisted with traffic control.
Engine 19, Medic 1, Medic 19, Battalion 1 and Car 111 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
