Incident # 25-6864 - At 12:43 Friday 29-August, Fire-Rescue Divers assisted the Sheriff's Office with the recovery of a stolen safe from Black Creek in the 4100 block of Cane Branch Road. Detectives received information the safe had been thrown off of the bridge into the creek. Divers entered the 15 foot waters and found the safe. Deputies pulled it from the creek. Units were on the scene for approximately an hour.
Dive 1, Battalion 1 and Engine 1 responded. Battalion Chief Chris Jones served as Incident Commander.
