The parent company of Colleton Medical Center has begun a new initiative with rebranding the organization. After 40 years of running Colleton County's only hospital, the parent company is adding their name to the signage and providing a new look to their hospitals. Colleton was the first in the region to be rebranded and will be called HCA Healthcare - Colleton Hospital. Trident received a similar change and is now HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital. Operationally we can expect little change and the facility will provide the same great care with the same staff. HCA began operating the current facility in the early 1980s.
