Incident # 25-08551 - An adult female was shot multiple times while driving south on Quail Drive Tuesday morning 28-October at 05:12. Her vehicle struck a guardrail during the incident. Sheriff's Deputies arrived quickly and secured the scene. Deputies applied tourniquets to her legs to control the bleeding. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later and provided additional care. She was transported emergent to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston by Fire-Rescue Medic 26. No helicopters could fly due to poor weather conditions. The incident is being investigated by the Sheriff's Office.
Engine 26, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 111 and Car 112 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander.
