Incident # 25-09528 - Eight people were injured in a single vehicle high speed MVC on Interstate 95 near the 47 mile marker northbound, Sunday morning 30-Nov at 08:17. The northbound Honda Pilot left the roadway, lost control and overturned in the median. Four adults and four children received injuries. Fire-Rescue assigned three ambulances to the incident. All patients received medical treatment at the scene and were transported to HCA Colleton Hospital in Walterboro. Holiday traffic was down to one lane and backed up for over an hour. The SC Hwy Patrol is investigating the crash.
Engine 1, Medic 1, Medic 13, Medic 26, Rescue 1, Car 111 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as Incident Commander.
