30/January/2026 - High Angle Rescue - "A" Shift


Incident # 26-00803 - Fire-Rescue responded to a concrete plant in the 300 block of Acorn Road Friday 30-January at 10:40. Two workers performing maintenance on a tower experienced a failure in the elevated platform they were utilizing. The two men were not injured but were trapped approximately 45 feet in the air. Firefighter-Paramedics determined the safest way to rescue the two workers was to use Ladder 19. The Ladder truck responded to the location and set up near the tower. A Firefighter raised the platform to the men and assisted them off of the lift. They were then lowered to the ground. Neither of them required any medical attention. The entire incident was mitigated within 40 minutes. 


Engine 1, Rescue 1, Ladder 19, M1, C103, C105, C112, C115 and Battalion 1 responded to the incident. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served at incident commander.
