09/February/2026 - Structure Fire - "B" Shift

Incident # 26-01118 - At 16:02, Tuesday afternoon 09-Feburary a fire was discovered in a residence in the 4400 block of Green Pond Hwy. Several Fire-Rescue units were already responding to a woods fire on nearby Rodeo Drive and were diverted to the structure fire. This placed units on the scene fairly quickly. Engine 26 arrived to find heavy smoke conditions and fire coming from the roof of the singlewide mobile home. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines to the building and crews entered the structure through the front door. The fire had burned vertically up the side of the structure and entered the attic space. The roof burned off of the building over one bedroom but firefighters were able to stop the fire and the spread through the attic space. They had to pull the ceilings down in several places to reach the fire burning above the ceiling. No injuries were reported during the incident. The family was displaced due to the damage to the home but most personal items were saved. The cause appears to have been a heating lamp in a dog house located next to the building. The fire destroyed the dog house and spread to the adjacent mobile home. Crews were on the scene for two hours.

Engine 6, Engine 19, Engine 24, Engine 26, Engine 27, Tender 1, Tender 6, Tender 19, Tender 24,  Tender 27, Medic 1, Medic 6, Medic 19, Medic 26, Battalion 1, Car 103, Car 116 and Car 118 responded. Battalion Chief Brent Dalton served as incident Commander.
