13/March/2026 - Dog Attack with Air Evac - "A" Shift Incident # 26-02023 - An adult person was mauled by a pit bull at a residence in the 3600 block of Sniders Highway Friday morning 13-March at 02:18. Firefighter-Paramedics found the patient in the front yard of the residence with multiple severe injuries. The patient was treated at the scene, then transported emergent to the CARE Flight base in Walterboro with additional Firefighter-Paramedics onboard to assist with care. The patient was transferred to the flight crew and flown to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston. The Sheriff's Office and Animal Services are investigating the incident. Engine 1, Medic 1 and Battalion 1 responded. Battalion Chief Scott O'Quinn served as Incident Commander. |
