17-March-2026 – Structure Fire “B” Shift

Incident # 26-02128 – Shortly after 2 PM the 911 center received a call from a resident in the 800 block of Moselle Road reporting a possible structure fire. The occupants had just returned home when they smelled smoke and could feel the front door was warm, they could not see fire. Engine 15 and Tender 15 arrived moments later and reported a single-family dwelling with heavy smoke showing from all sides of the roof. A second alarm was requested which sent additional tenders and personnel to the rural area. Firefighters deployed multiple handlines from Engine 15 and initiated a transitional attack. Crews worked defensively to control the fire from the exterior and then entered the home for an offensive attack on the “B” side of the structure. Crews were met with heavy smoke, high heat conditions, and a partial roof collapse on the “D” side. The fire was contained to the attic space, but the home received substantial smoke and heat damage. Engine 31 established a water supply point at a pond near the incident site to provide water for fire suppression. The fire crews remained on scene for 3.5 hours. No injuries were reported.

Engine 15, Engine 18, Engine 31, Tender 1, Tender 13, Tender 15, Tender 18, Tender 27, Medic 18, Medic 13, Medic 1, C112 and Battalion 1 responded to the incident.
