20/April/2026 - Structure / Woods Fire - “C” Shift

Incident # 26-03337 - Fire-Rescue responded to the 9000 block of Augusta Highway for a reported structure fire. Engine 26 arrived moments later and reported a 10 x 10 shed fully involved and a spreading woods fire on both sides of Augusta Highway. Augusta Highway was closed and the South Carolina Forestry Commission was requested to respond a plow. Firefighters deployed multiple handlines to combat the fire. The fire was brought under control and extinguished. SCFC arrived on scene and deployed the plow to secure a line around both fires. The home sustained some heat damage, but the occupants were not displaced. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
