Incident # 26-04772 - An adult driver was injured in a single vehicle high speed MVC in the 5300 block of Charleston Hwy (SC Hwy 64) Sunday morning 07-June at 10:04. The westbound Buick Enclave failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The car struck a driveway culvert and became airborne. The car struck a power pole breaking it in half before flipping over. The small car landed upright on the westbound shoulder. The restrained driver was able to exit the vehicle on thier own. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the patient at the scene, then transported emergent to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston in Fire-Rescue Medic 19. The accident is being investigated by the SC Highway Patrol. Power was out in the Mashawville Area for several hours.
