CCFR Members,
My career would not be complete without saying farewell to all of my CCFR
friends. In my role as a flight
paramedic, I have had the pleasure of serving along side numerous members of
your department over the past 26 years and appreciate the high degree of
dedication and professionalism that CCFR offers to the local community.
With my retirement effective on March 1, 2014, I will often reflect on my
professional association with CCFR and the positive outcomes in patients lives
that we acomplished together.
Respectfully,
Les Langdale

Thank you for everyone that took part in the MCI with the bus accident. I
have family friends that had 2 members on that bus that you took excellent care
of. From a fellow EMT to another you gave everyone great service and you will be

As a family member of 2 of the patients involved in the high school bus
crash, I want to thank you for the way you handled this terrible accident. Your
professional, hospitible, and caring response made a horrible experience for

you from the bottom of the hearts of so many small town ohio residents.

I would like to thank everyone who worked the accidet Monday night.
If people don't beleive in God they should have seen the the accident
scene. God protected them.
None should have walked away or even lived.

I am still at musc with my son and he is improving.
The man in the other truck needs continued prayer also he has a long road

On
this, the tenth anniversary of 9-11, we want to thank you again for the service
you provide to our community to keep us safe.
There are so many sacrifices that all of you, both paid personnel and
volunteers, make each day. All of you go beyond what is required of your jobs:
the condolence you express to a family who has just lost a loved one; taking the
time to show that big shiny truck to a wide eyed child; comforting words to a
family in a wreck on the interstate in a strange state, for examples.
We thank your families also who make sacrifices: postponed special events
because of your shift work; the concern they suffer waiting for your return from
a hazmat call, or a large fire, for instance.
Our thanks to you and God bless you all for working at such a noble
profession.
Stay safe out there.

I am writing this on behalf of Mrs. Evelyn Bennett.
Last week one of the stations responded to a possible heart attack at her
home at 106 Lynwood Road. The woman
who called was Mrs. Bennett's employee and it was this woman who was
experiencing the heart issues. Mrs.
Bennett is legally blind and this incident greatly upset her.
She asked me to convey to you what an excellent job you all did in
response time, your professional care of her employee and in reassuring Mrs.
Bennett. On behalf of her thank you so much for your professionalism and
comfort. A job well done CCFR!

Thank you for all the hard work you do in training and certification. All of
your preparation makes a difference in peoples lives everyday. I know because
you have made a difference for me. This past week you extricated my cousin Tony
from his motorhome. I know it was no small feat! All the extrication training
could hardly prepare you for what you were about to see when you drove to the
site that day!
Tony is my cousin, but we often call each other brother & sister since he is
an only child and doesn't have a sister. We have spent many wonderful summers
together as teenagers and now our kids spend vacation time together. He is a
dear, dear person to me and because of your great job in caring for him during a
most frightening experience, and our God in heaven's mercy, I hope to spend many
more moments around the campfire with Tony.
Thanks for all you do! You are an exceptional example of humankind! God bless
each of you!

Seven years later, we give thanks that there are men
and women who are willing to sacrifice their lives to keep us safe and
who are willing to lay down their life for ours. Their jobs are not 9 to
5: their jobs are 24/7. They leave a child's birthday party, they leave
their warm beds on a cold night, they go into places where we would flee in
order to pull us from a burning inferno or to pull us from a tangled wreck.
Thank you the men and women of Colleton
County Fire Rescue for the excellent, unselfish work you do for all of
us. You are true heroes. May you all always come home safely at the end of each
