Injury with Air Evacuation – “A” Shift
Incident # 12-06917 – A 44
year old man was injured when a tree fell on him during a land clearing
operation. The incident occurred at 24294 Augusta Highway at 16:09 Friday
21-December. Medic 9 and Engine 902 responded, treated the man for
multiple traumatic injuries and requested a medical helicopter. Engine 902
set up a landing zone in a nearby field for LifeNet 4 to land. The patient
was transferred to the Flight Crew without incident. He was flown to the
Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston.
Engine 902, Medic 9 and
Battalion 1 responded. Captain Ethan Shider served as Incident Commander.
