28/November/2022 - Fall with Air Evac - "A" Shift An adult female received multiple traumatic injuries after falling approximately 15 feet from a deer stand Saturday afternoon 26-November at 17:52. The woman was found on the ground about 1/4 mile into the woods off of the 1900 block of Pine Grove Road. Firefighter-Paramedics treated the woman and immobilized her at the scene. Crews carried her out of the woods to a waiting ambulance. A medical helicopter was requested. CARE Flight landed in a field near Hudson Mill Crossroads. She was transported to the field by Fire-Rescue Medic 18, then transferred to the flight crew. Click here for additional information. |

23/November/2022 - Fatal MVC with Entrapment - "C: Shift An Ohio man was killed in a two vehicle, high speed MVC at the intersection of ACE Basin Parkway (US Hwy 17) and Hope Plantation Lane in the Jacksonboro Community Wednesday morning 23-November at 05:23. The man's 2014 Ford Econoline van was traveling northbound on ACE Basin Parkway at a high rate of speed when it collided with a stopped semi-truck that was turning into a gas station. The van received heavy damage in the collision which trapped the driver in the wreckage. The semi-truck also received substantial damage to the trailer. Click here for additional information. |

17-November-2022 - Fatal MVC with Entrapment - "A" Shift A mid 80s Allendale woman perished in a single vehicle high speed MVC in the 7000 block of Bells Highway (SC Hwy. 64) Thursday afternoon 17-November at 12:49. According to witnesses, the westbound Hyundai Tucson swerved off of the road, then crossed into the eastbound ditch where it struck two driveway culverts and several trees. The car received heavy damage in the collision and the female driver was trapped in the wreckage. Click here for additional information. |

15/November/2022 - Honorary Blood Drive Colleton Preparatory Academy is hosting a blood drive in honor of a local resident on November 21, 2022 from 0900-1400. The Blood Connection is collecting for the event that will be held at Colleton Preparatory Academy 165 Academy Road Walterboro, SC 29488. The Blood Connection provides life saving blood to Colleton Medical Center, Colleton County Fire-Rescue, and C.A.R.E. Flight. Appointments are encouraged, but not required. 15/November/2022- We offer condolences to Ms. Adrienne Stokes in our Emergency Management Division. Ms. Stokes' father, Eddie Cooper, passed away this week. A wake will be held at Harold Fraser Funeral Home, 300 Francis Street, Walterboro, Thursday 17-November from 4 to 6 PM. Please remember Ms. Stokes and her family in your prayers. |

14/November/2022 - MVC with Entrapment - "A" Shift Fire-Rescue responded with Walterboro Fire Dept to a single vehicle MVC on Sweat Street east of North Jefferies Blvd Monday afternoon 14-November at 16:46. A Ford pickup truck, traveling at a high rate speed collided with a guard rail on Sweat Street, went off of the road, over-corrected and flipped over several times before landing on its roof in the wooded swamp. The male occupant was trapped in the wreckage. Firefighter-Paramedics stabilized the vehicle with struts, then used Holmatro hydraulic rescue tools to gain access to the driver and extricated him from the overturned truck. 12-November-2022 - High Speed MVC - "A" Shift Two people were transported to a Trauma Center following a single vehicle high speed MVC in the 12500 block of Cottageville Hwy. (US Hwy 17-A) north of Cottageville Saturday morning 12-November at 05:14. The south bound Nissan Versa, crossed the highway and entered the northbound ditch where it struck a driveway culvert. The small car became airborne and received heavy damage. Both unrestrained occupants received multiple traumatic injuries. Two Fire-Rescue ambulances responded. 09/November/2022 - Auto vs Pedestrian with Air Evac - "B" Shift A 65 year old New York woman was critically injured after she was struck by a car while crossing Cane Branch Road at Cracker Barrel at 17:56 Wednesday afternoon 09-November. A Fire-Rescue unit was on Sniders Hwy when the accident occurred and he was on the scene immediately. The woman was found unconscious in the roadway with multiple traumatic injuries, including a head injury. Firefighter-Paramedics began treating the woman and requested a medical helicopter. 08/November/2022 - MVC - "A" Shift A two vehicle head-on crash in the 3600 block of Sidneys Road sent one person to a Trauma Center and a second person to Colleton Medical Center. The accident occurred at 10:54 Tuesday morning 08-November in a curve. The vehicles struck the driver's sides of both vehicles. Firefighter-Paramedics arrived to find a small car blocking the roadway and a Ford pickup truck in the ditch. A second Fire-Rescue Ambulance was requested. Click here for additional information. |

03/November/2022 - Structure Fire - "A" & "B" Shifts A doublewide mobile home was heavily damaged during a morning structure fire in the 100 block of Tanner Lane Thursday 03-November. At 07:53, a passing motorist notified 9-1-1 of smoke and flames coming from the residence. Engine 1 arrived a few minutes later to find heavy smoke conditions and flames coming from the front of the home. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed two handlines to the building and knocked down the flames from the exterior, then entered the residence by forcing the front door. Two crews entered the building and finished extinguishing the fire. Click here for additional information. |
